That’s our founder, Basilio Petricca, on the right. And that’s his first crane in the background. He started our sister company, Petricca Construction, in 1936, and we still operate that company, too.
That means that we have an in-house staff of experienced construction managers, designers, engineers, and draftspeople. Our clients benefit from that knowledge and experience - value that goes way beyond just delivering concrete components to a job site.
We still operate with the work ethic and dedication that got us where we are. But we’re looking ahead, reinventing ourselves -- bringing in new ideas, new people with strong process and quality credentials, and new disciplines. We’re laser-focused on best practices like Lean Manufacturing, state-of-the-industry design technologies, and employee-driven continuous improvement.
Then.
Unistress is part of a family of construction companies that dates back to 1936. We’re a proud, close-knit company and our work is backed by the industry reputation of the Petricca family.
Now.
We take on massive jobs like the one in this picture. Unistress fabricated 1052 precast bridge segments for Boston’s Central Artery/Harbor Tunnel Project.
We build garages of all sizes, but today we get called in on very large projects all over the Northeast. For example: we’re building four garages at the new Yankee Stadium in New York – about 3,500 parking spaces. On top of one of those garages, there will be a 14-acre public park with an 8-lane, quarter-mile running track, a football field, a soccer field, 4 handball courts, 4 basketball courts, grandstands, a comfort station, and even sledding hills. |
