Unistress Opens New Steelworks Plant
Expansion of Seamless, End-to-End Manufacturing Capabilities
Unistress has opened its new Steelworks plant, a major investment that allows us to further integrate our operations, retaining seamless end-to control of the quality of our product.
We now manufacture 99% of our own steel components, from connection plate embeds to rebar cages, in a new, highly automated steel fabrication plant. Equipped with robotic welders, CNC-controlled rebar benders, and high-tech plasma cutting equipment, we’ve reduced fabrication turnaround time from 2 weeks to 24 hours, while improving quality.
Unistress is a vertically integrated company. We control the quality of our entire process, including:
• We quarry and process our own sand and stone.
• Provide in-house construction managers, designers, engineers, and draftspeople.
• Deliver products on with our own trucks and specialized trailers to ensure schedule commitments.
• Operate a separate ready-mix concrete operation on site and a fleet of concrete mixers, which gives us better control over quality and productivity.
• Offer full design-build capabilities, including the performance of site and cast-in-place concrete work.
